The Smoke Ring Generator is an electro-mechanical device that produces variable smoke ring diameters in synchronization with music. The rings are optimized for most dramatic effect. The device also features lasers timed with the rings to produce equalizer effect
How does the Smoke Ring Generator work? The Smoke Ring Generator Works by first filling the chamber with smoke. This is followed by actuating the device. The device is capable of generating well formed smoke rings at 160 bpm (2.67Hz) and 2 different smoke rings sizes at tempo. Next, the device generates smoke rings of variable diameters in synchronization with the beat, which in this case is powered by 2 solenoids and paddles. The smoke rings are generated due to the powered discharge of fluid from the confined space of the chamber going through the rotating iris. The iris is servo powered and arduino controlled to produce different ranges on enclosure for the ring diameters.
